DIAGNOSIS OF INFLUENZA
Influenza is diagnosed quite easily. Your doctor will ask you questions about your heath and recent illnesses, e.g: a cold. Doctor will ask
you what symptoms you have and what medicines you are taking, detail of medical history, e.g: have you ever had asthma and if you
have any other medical conditions, e.g: Diabetes. Your doctor will also listen to your chest using a stethoscope (used to hear breathing).
Depending on the doctor influenza can be diagnosed from symptoms alone, but most of the time they take samples of cells and mucus
from nose or throat using a cotton swab, this will then be sent to the laboratory for testing.
